What Gulf Shores does to a window
Gulf Shores is split by water. South of the Intracoastal Waterway the beach side runs from East Beach along West Beach Boulevard to Fort Morgan Road, with Little Lagoon just behind it. The Gulf breeze comes straight over the dunes and coats the south-facing glass of the West Beach houses and the condos along the beach road in a salt film within a couple of weeks. The lagoon side gets a softer version from Little Lagoon and keeps the air damp enough that north-facing windows and screened porches along Lagoon Avenue and West Lagoon Avenue grow mildew in spring and fall.
North of the canal, around Craft Farms, the Highway 59 corridor and the neighborhoods off County Road 6, the Gulf matters less and the trees and sprinklers matter more. The longleaf pines and live oaks drop a thick yellow pollen every March and April, and the irrigation on the golf courses and in the subdivisions runs on well water, which leaves a line of hard mineral spots along the lower panes of any home that backs onto a fairway or a common area. Out on Plash Island and along the Bon Secour Bay shore the bay humidity and salt come together, and the glass stays hazy most of the year without help.
A quarterly plan suits most Gulf Shores homes, with the inside glass done once a year. Beachfront homes on West Beach and East Beach usually go to every month or two, and rental owners have us time the first clean of the year for just before spring break. We work the beach side, the lagoon streets and the north side of the canal on their own days, know the HOA rules at Craft Farms, and send a text the morning of each visit. Screens, tracks and interior mirrors are part of the Platinum package, which most lagoon-side homes end up choosing.

A first cleaning, inside and out, is $259 for a home up to 2,000 square feet, $329 for 2,000 to 3,500 square feet, and $429 for larger homes on our Silver package. After that, a quarterly maintenance plan runs $60, $77, or $100 a month for those same home sizes. Oceanfront and riverfront estates get a custom quote.
How often should windows be cleaned in Gulf Shores?
Quarterly works for most homes north of the canal and around Craft Farms. Beachfront and lagoon-front homes on West Beach, East Beach and along Little Lagoon pick up salt within weeks and do better every month or two. Most people have the inside glass done once a year.
Do you clean windows at vacation rentals between guests?
Yes. Many of our Gulf Shores plans are on rental houses on West Beach and along the lagoon. We work around the turnover calendar, and your property manager can be the contact for access and the text before each visit.
Can you remove sprinkler spots from the golf-course side of the house?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from well-water irrigation at Craft Farms and the other course communities need a dedicated treatment rather than a regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
