What Foley does to a window
Foley sits far enough inland that the Gulf salt mostly drops out of the air before it gets here, and what takes its place is the trees. The older streets around downtown and the neighborhoods off Highway 59 and Highway 98 were built under live oaks and pines, and every March and April the pollen comes down thick enough to turn cars, porches and glass the same shade of yellow. It sticks to the screens, washes into the tracks with the spring rains, and sits there until someone cleans it out. The shade that makes those streets pleasant in August also keeps the north-facing glass damp enough for mildew most of the year.
The newer subdivisions are a different problem. Glenlakes, Live Oak Village and the neighborhoods along County Road 20 and the Foley Beach Express have young trees, full sun and irrigation on well water, and the overspray leaves a line of hard mineral spots along the lower panes that regular washing will not take off. Homes backing onto the Glenlakes fairways get it on every window facing the course. Summer afternoon storms add a film of dust and pollen that dries streaky, and on the south end of town, toward the Bon Secour River and Wolf Bay, enough salt still drifts in to haze the glass between cleans.

How often should windows be cleaned in Foley?

Yes. Mildew on north-facing glass and porch screens under the oaks comes off with the regular clean, and it stays off longer on a plan because we get to it before it builds up. Screens are included in the Platinum package.
